Roots and Wings:
Grown up on familys farm, which is managed according to the principles of permaculture since the early 1990s.
According to general compulsory education, training at the School of Food Technology (1986 to 1989), following technical training (1989 to 1993) and incidentally evening school for Advertising design (1991-1993). Since then I worked as a designer, planner and advertising designer.
July 2005 International Permaculture Certificate at the ecological center Neustift Monastery, Varna / Italy, December 2011 training natural remedies in the Tropics Dr. Feleshi / Anamed. In 2012 I did a training for Soilconservation in Upperaustria.
Now I am supporting, consulting and planning for school projects, intercultural gardens, community gardens, home gardens, organic agriculture projects in the field of development cooperation in Greece, Sudan, Tanzania and Sri Lanka, Local exchange trading systems and projects according to Frithjof Bergmann's "New Work". In addition to that, I am managing our forestgarden. In 2016 we founded the Austrian Forest Garden Institute.
Last year we started with the construction of a round Strawbale-Building, wich sould be used as a multifunctional beehut. This year in June we will follow up with the plastering work, this work needs again plenty of helping hands.
The last four weeks Bernhard Gruber was invited to join the project of "people4people". For ten days he was teaching permaculture and on the further trip he had the chance to visit traditional Kandyan Homegardens
