After graduating with a degree in International Development I realized that if I actually wanted to do any good for this world I would need to find a skill that would enable me to inform others of different approaches. With a keen interest in sustainable agriculture and forestry I was led to permaculture by a friend/neighbour/life coach and haven't been able to stop thinking about different efficient ways of farming since.
My experience with permaculture over the past four years has led me to urban farms in cities, a sustainable woodlot and permaculture farm on Salt Spring Island and to farms and schools throughout Kenya. Now it's taken me to Australia to get an idea of what permaculture looks like in a climate much different than my own.
Among my many goals are: working with youth to develop a permaculture vocational training program in East Africa, growing hops productively on my own Canadian farm and working in urban farm design and workshops.
