I have a PhD in computer science, and have worked as a professor, systems analyst, and management consultant, as well as nature counsellor at a scout camp, farm trainee, and building superintendent. I have always been an avid & active outdoors person, naturalist, birder, and home landscaper/gardener.
I first heard the word "permaculture" in November 2010, and got my permaculture design certificate from Rob Avis of Verge Permaculture, Calgary, Canada, in July 2012. Permaculture is clearly the only way that has been proposed so far, that can lead to the long term survival of human civilization on Earth.
I am currently working to establish a sustainable career for myself as a permaculture designer, trainer, and/or entrepreneur. At this time, my biggest interests are in establishing a vermiculture and compost extract/tea business in northern Alberta and/or catalysing and realizing the creation of a world wide online PDC course that includes local on-the-ground live demonstration and project components for students around the globe (supervised by local PDC certified professionals), and that is built from written/audio/video lesson and reference material provided by the top experts on the planet in each of the topic areas within the PDC curriculum - and more.
