Angie Gonzalez
Is certified permaculture designer, yoga teacher, health coach, herbal practitioner in the ayurvedic tradition and thai massage practitioner.
In my search for health and wellness I found permaculture environments that promote optimal states of health for the planet and for the people.
I have now merged my passions of life. Health of mind, body, earth & culture.
After my PDC graduation in my journey for merging health and ecology I began by designing a medicinal garden at a natural medicine ayurvedic center, where I studied. I began this design project on my own, and implemented with the help and assistance of the collective genius .... community permablitzing. This project eventually evolved to become a collective team building task in which I invited fellow permie sisters to co-design and co-create towards the completion and then maintenance phase of the project.
In this project we included rain catchment systems, composting systems, vermiculture and various sections of curved gardens and beautiful mandala & spiral gardens as focal points.
I am currently involved with I love Yoga Studio. Were we are in the making of an urban oasis edible permaculture garden on the front porch of the building placing an emphasis on maximizing reduced urban areas and productive container gardening.
I addition to this I am currently looking forward to embark on an Earth Odyssey and joining a team of Eco-nauts at the end of this year . This is a permaculture re-generative traveling project to assist different indigenous communities, 22 of us will be visiting 10 project sites from California to Costa Rica, doing community development work in small villages, orphanages, schools, and adult educational centers. Over the four month journey, the team will be installing and teaching elements of sustainable living, permaculture, and green building techniques, leaving behind a positive impact .
My ultimate goal with Permaculture is to one day naturally build and create a permaculture / healing center , that serves the community and empowers the people, were we can provide local education and alternative health care services , to share the land with common stewards of the earth and to manifest with real actions environments of vibrant health !
Sincerely.
