My experience about farming and creating self-sufficient lifestyle is based on the two years I spent in Eastern Finland on a farm with a friends family (2007-2008). Our basic livelihood came from our own garden and nearby forests and lakes. I've also studied gardening, bee-keeping, herbal medicine and forest ecology.
I took part in PDC as a part of a month's lasting Ecovillage Design Education in Germany, Sieben Linden Ecovillage 2009. I must admit that during the last years, when I've been an intentional nomad, my gardening skills have not got the attention and practice they'd need.
Instead, I've become specially interested about designing social environments that nourish innovation, trust and sustainability. I'm practicing my skills in Art of Hosting, coaching and deep listening.
Currently I'm learning social entrepreneurship by doing - we've just established our own company called Cohousing Suomi, and our aim is to help people interested in community living and cohousing to find each other and if needed, we can facilitate the creation of communities by giving workshops.
The philosophy of permaculture is close to my heart, and I want to spread the awareness through my life and work.
We have been developing and giving 2-day Introductory Courses on permaculture in finnish with Joel Rosenberg
I've been working towards actually doing what I love: and it's getting closer all the time!
