Filiz is a writer, poet, traveler, spiritual seeker, a process host, a social innovator, an Earth activist, a community organizer whose purpose is to serve the evolution of human consciousness and awakening a sense of possibility and sacred in human spirit through sharing her personal learning journey, poetry, designing and hosting spaces of learning, healing, co-creation and celebration.
As a community organizer, Filiz has been involved in pioneering projects in Turkey organizing events, seminars and dialogue & learning spaces to raise awareness about permaculture & sustainable living and empower & inspire communities for inspired action since 2005.
Filiz created Sustainable Living Film Festival, facilitated the birth of permaculture network and Slow Food Youth Food Movement in Turkey and co-created many learning spaces locally and around the world.
As an Art of Hosting practitioner, one of Filiz’s greatest passions as a process host is to explore new ways of working and being together and discover a depth of wisdom far beyond what is available to individuals alone and to nurture the collective creative potential.
Her recent inquiry is into writing and poetry and how these mediums can call and inspire people for their authenticity and cultivate a healing relationship with the Earth.
Filiz loves meeting new people and cultures, improvising in the kitchen, cooking and eating with friends, sharing stories, connecting with Mother Earth and her wisdom, working with the land, supporting individuals’ and collectives’ creative processes and having a good laugh.
