The steps in this course are compost (we build a real hot compost heap!), top soil regeneration (we actively build soil and learn how the process works), weed management (what can we eat?), seeds and seedlings (heirloom seeds, transplanting skills), integrated pest management, plant propagation (we use cuttings and divisions appropriate to the season), water management and a final session called "Conducting the jungle".
No previous experience required, but please bring experience with you. We all learn more each time I run this course.
8 x 2 hour sessions run once a week, the next iteration starts on Thursday 23 May at 10am. Course cost is $160 per person, or $100 concession. Profit from the course is shared with the Ashwood College Permaculture Food Garden, which means we don't rely on grants any longer...
Come and join the fun, bookings essential on 0414 58 88 21.
