Courses for your community

Posted by Wendy Seabrook over 9 years ago

We can provide the following courses for community groups in Australia and SE Asia:

1. 'Getting to the Heart of Permaculture Design'

Permaculture at its heart is a design process, where the main focus is creating more sustainable systems. This course provides participants with a toolkit of the Key Ecological Practices we have developed to help people design sustainable systems mimicking the functions of healthy natural ecosystems. Many people around the world are discovering the value of this approach in crafting sustainable, efficient and cost-effective systems for their businesses, food growing enterprises and communities. Four day residential course.

2. 'Growing food with less hard work'

Growing food doesn’t need to be such hard work. Dr Wendy Seabrook will take you through the simple and practical steps outlined in 'The No Mower Food Grower's Guide'. Helping you build ecological functioning in your food growing landscape. Whatever your landscape—a private or community garden, market garden or commercial orchard, by working with nature we create more self-maintaining, sustainable food gardens. Food Gardens that save you time, money and ‘Hard Yakka’! Two day course with option of additional mentoring for individual site designs.

3. 'Exploring cost-reductions in horticulture through Ecological Practices'

In this course we will explore how we can grow healthy fruit and veggies more cost effectively by building ecological functioning in our market gardens and orchards. Following in the footsteps of pioneering horticulturists, we will design methods appropriate to our own farms and gardens.
