Humans can be a force for good on the planet, have you ever wondered how you can make a real difference? Permaculture teaches how to live more regeneratively and have a positive impact with your life - shifting us away from being consumers of the earths resources to being in control of many of our own living needs, becoming less reliant on the systems that are destroying our world. The PDC is an internationally renowned course which connects us to what it really means to be human, working in harmony with nature and respecting the living world which sustains us.
Permaculture teaches whole systems thinking which can be applied to put you at the cutting edge of any profession and become creative leaders for change.
So whether you want to: make your business more sustainable, grow your own healthy food, become more resilient in the face of global change, get skills for NGO or aid work, build a local green economy, start your own educational or farm project or live in a more inter-connected way with nature - Permaculture will empower you with a vast tool kit of knowledge to apply in any situation and is an asset to any career.
Join us at La Loma Viva for 2 weeks of inspiring education with experienced teachers, theory and practical sessions, a world class demonstration site, fresh organic food that will have you glowing with health, beautiful accommodation overlooking the Mediterranean and meeting like minded friends who also want to be part of building a better world. This course is truly a life changing experience. Everyone is welcome.

Note: The various badges displayed in people profiles are largely honesty-based self-proclamations by the individuals themselves. There are reporting functions users can use if they know of blatant misrepresentation (for both people and projects). Legitimacy, competency and reputation for all people and projects can be evidenced and/or developed through their providing regular updates on permaculture work they’re involved in, before/after photographs, etc. A spirit of objective nurturing of both people and projects through knowledge/encouragement/inspiration/resource sharing is the aim of the Worldwide Permaculture Network.

PRI TeacherWith the exception of the ‘Member’ who has never taken a PDC, all of the above can apply to become a PRI PDC Teacher. PRI PDC Teachers are those who the PRI recognise, through a vetting board, as determined and competent to teach the full 72-hour course as developed by Permaculture founder Bill Mollison – covering all the topics of The Designers’ Manual as well as possible (i.e. not cherry picking only aspects the teacher feels most interested or competent in). Such teachers also commit to focussing on the design science, and not including subjective spiritual/metaphysical elements. The reason these items are not included in the PDC curriculum is because they are “belief” based. Permaculture Design education concerns itself with teaching good design based on strategies and techniques which are scientifically provable. PRI PDC Teachers may be given teaching and/or consultancy offerings as they become available as the network grows. |
