(projects i'm following)
I have a lifelong passion for environmentalism. I have a BA in Environmental Studies, and a growing passion for sustainable design and permaculture. I have lived in the United States including Minnesota, DC, and Alaska; Egypt; and now I am based in Alberta, Canada. I am particularly interested in greening urban environments.
I did my PDC with Geoff Lawton in Jordan in 2014. I worked for the Research Institute for a Sustainable Environment (RISE) at the American University in Cairo in 2015. During my time at RISE I developed an "Introduction to Permaculture" training and installed a permaculture garden at the RISE facility. Now 2016 I am honored to be recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship which allows me to conduct permaculture research full-time!
I am currently looking for permaculture sites in Western Canada! The objective of my research is to measure the output of select permaculture projects and then compare that to average production local conventional and organic agriculture. If you have a permaculture project in Alberta or British Columbia please take this survey: http://goo.gl/forms/xHd3xTqxQL
Thank you!
