I consider folks like Mollison, Lawton, Falk, Shepard, and Spirko my teachers. Thanks guys.
I took the PRI Online PDC 2014 and am awaiting confirmation that I've passed. My design exercise was of a 245 acre certified organic farm where I am currently pasturing some organically fed feeder hogs. We are only using about 5 acres of woods currently. The design took into account the 130 acres of native pasture that has slowly been overtaken by johnson grass. It included on farm income for 4 families and more for the future with plans for a restaurant/event center.
I'm now working on a 157 acre project that has more varied terrain for Oklahoma. The property has wheat terraces (sort of like swales) and even a ravine that is at least 30' wide and 30' deep that runs through the property north to south. There is about 150 elevation change on the property itself. It will be certified organic vegetable operation and have certified organic eggs and meat produced on farm. It will be exciting to see how this property develops as some thing are being implemented already.
