I grew up in the country helping my parents & grandmother garden at my grandmother's homestead. For many years after I grew up I stayed far away from it until I eventually began my return to it a few years ago.

I'd known about permaculture for quite a few years. It wasn't until Jack Spirko of the Survival Podcast integrated it into modern survival that I really started delving into it.

Presently we own a suburban home with a small lot that I'm looking to transform at least part of the lot into food production. I've done small scale raised bed gardening but nothing as far as perennial or long term.
