(projects i'm involved in)
(projects i'm following)
artist, teacher, student, mother, gardener, farmer....
that's me in six words.
I first became enthralled by permaculture as a disenchanted teenager in the 1980s (the 'greed is good' era did not look good on me - and neither did the big hair... I decided to give both a wide berth).
I finally (FINALLY!) completed my PDC at 'the Crossing' in Bermagui - 2010 (yay!) and felt a great homecoming. We - that's my farming partner, myself, our 2 young kidlins and assorted animals - live on my family's 360 acre farm at Sams Creek on the far south coast of NSW.
My short-term permy goals are to establish our home base (zones one and two) - so my to-do list includes:
*growing more vege (and move the main garden closer to the house)
*covering our semi-established deciduous orchard and incorporating chooks and geese
*establishing a food forest and grey water system
My middle and longer term goal is the large-scale implementation of a permy plan for our entire farm operations - and that includes my partner's farm (800 acres that borders my family's 360acres) ... oh and to complete my postgrad studies with Monash Uni (my HDR project combines art and books and land and permaculture...)

grappling with all the set-up hassles of the new dairy has not been without reward - look at all the lovely calves on the farm...
rescheduling the opening of the sams creek studio/ garden/farm
launching sams creek bookworks and more!
