About John Champagne

I first got excited about it all when I read Permaculture One when I was 17 back in 1978,my Dad bought it for the family library.

Since doing my PDC in 1992 I've been involved in many areas of permaculture development including establishing the family property of 11 acres in Brogo, NSW from scratch, Eco-Neighbourhood Design & Developments,
President for 10 years of a Bioregional Food Organisation called SCPA - South East Producers , PDC Teacher & Consultant, and periodic ABC Radio presenter.

Began teaching PDCs in South East Asia which excites me and feeling the urge more these days to put my energy to those in greatest need.About to go to Afghanistan in March 2012 to help on a project for Mahbobas Promise to assist woman and orphans ravaged by war have some quality of life.

Known as the Amigo Troika, my friends Ian Lillington, Bruce Zell and myself have been actively involved towards establishing a representative and democratic National Organisation for Permaculture in Australia.Currently a Board Member of Permaculture Australia and the convener of Permafund.

Permaculture Design Course

The annual PDC we do locally at The Crossing near Bermagui just keeps getting better. Now in its 5th year, the standard of designs presented by students and what they do following, is really encouraging. Please pass this on through your networks...thanks
