I graduated from DePauw University with a BS in Biology (2015). I have a focus in environmental science and sustainability, especially in regards to sustainable food production. I am interested in sustainable agricultural practices that strive to preserve natural ecosystems, wildlife, and soil, while providing high yields to local communities. I thoroughly enjoy being outside and working with my hands. I am very physically active.
I came to be interested in permaculture through the university I was in and by means of traveling. From studying environmental science to biology and working at the campus' organic farm and other places geared toward sustainability, I have progressed from the mid-Western, consumerism life to a life more focused on beauty, simplicity, community, and nature!
I think simple living is the best course of action, as I hope to have a self-sustaining organic garden based on sustainable practices as well as sustainable energy in the future. I have been meditating and doing yoga frequently to promote mindfulness and encourage others to appreciate our natural environment. I love healthy living when it comes to eating whole foods and being active. I am quite sociable and work well with others. Overall, I strive to better myself while having a positive outlook on life and receive enjoyment from the little things. I am currently traveling around the world to learn more sustainable practices as well as spreading the crucial knowledge I have obtained through teaching others.
