Aloha Kako,

My name is Marcus Spallek. I was born and raised on the island of Oahu, Hawai'i, and currently live on the Big Island of Hawai'i. I have a BE in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University '04, with minors in Mathematics and Philosophy. I have worked in a variety of fields, from laboratory research, to maintaining deep ocean submarines, and traveled extensively in the process. I discovered permaculture and natural farming as a result of my interest in aquaponics. I am presently working full time on developing the 15 acre Aloha Mahi'ai farm at Pepe'ekeo, Hawai'i.
