I'm an engineer by training, but have always been interested in sustainability. I lived in the San Francisco area for the past 8 years and volunteered at a community farm there. Took an Urban PDC course and even WOOFed a few years ago for a month.
I came across Bill Mollison and Permaculture after reading the book "Ishmael" and searching for alternative lifestyles and the quest for something other than the corporate lifestyle that we have gotten ourselves into.
I recently moved back to Mumbai and volunteering at a community farm and also working/volunteering with the first ever CSA setup in Mumbai. Also working on setting up a school kitchen garden. My vision is to see urban food farms all over city centers and hopefully using permaculture to achieve that.
