(projects i'm following)
I've got seriously involved with permaculture in 2001 after taking a PDC in Spain. Before that I was working in the computing industry as an analyst programmer, and for a few years I had been feeling that I was not heading "in the right direction" and was looking for a change but wouldn't really know exactly towards what or where to. But suddenly permaculture appeared in my life as early as 1998. Initially I didn't really give much attention to it until I read Bill Mollison's "Introduction to Permaculture" and decided to take a PDC course as soon as I could. After that I decided to learn more and dedicate myself full time to it.
I accredited my diploma in applied permaculture design through the Italian Academy of Permaculture in April 2012.
Also in 2012 I co-organized the participation of a small group of permies to the European Union funded, 2-year long project EPT (European Permaculture teachers: http://permateachers.eu).
Since 2016 I am part of the international work group called Permaculture for Refugees (see our FB page) that offers permaculture based solutions to refugees in refugee camps or in receiving communities so that they can live a more dignified life.
In 2018 co-funded the Iberian Permaculture Academy where we offer a diploma in applied permaculture design in Spain (http://permaculturaibera/diplomatura).
This course will cover the background knowledge needed to successfully work in community regeneration projects and sustainability in other cultures.
Se darán las bases para trabajar con éxito en proyectos de reconstrucción comunitarias y sostenibilidad en otras culturas.

The Learning Partnership aims to support the professional development of permaculture teachers.
I will be teaching this 14-day design course with Kirsty Heron, downin Almeria near the Sunseed project. Spread the voice if you can!!!
