This course has enabled me to identify many of the incredible native plants we have in Sydney and many of the environmental weeds that threaten the bush. Walking in the bush is now such a richer experience.
I've learnt a lot about our natural environment and the history of Wolli Creek, a rare native remnant in inner Sydney that has survived despite many threats. So close for many of us and worth visiting.
I'm exploring the perception of certain plants as problem weeds in gardens or bushland against that of these plants being useful as foods, soil improvers and playing a role in natural succession of plant species.
