while i am still busy with getting the last requirements for my bachelor done, i got a generous funding granted by the german organisation "weltwaerts", which is directing funds from the german ministry for development and cooperation to foreign aid projects and young folks who want to join these projects and gather their first experiences as aid workers...
the purpose of this first update is simply to introduce the project i will be joining for 12 months minimum to a wider permaculture-dedicated public. sadly but understandably those people are quite busy walking their talk and thus haven't joined the WPN yet and do not have created a project page. i hope this will change in the future...
still, they have quite a nice online-representation which is worth to check out:

not so frequently updated blog by one of its long term volunteers: http://ecojames.wordpress.com/
This project is taking place in Auroville, Tamil Nadu, South India as well as in Anse-a-Pitre, Haiti. In India the project was set up around 5 years ago and has, with the help of hundreds of international and local volunteers, planted and nurtured over 18,200 trees. In Haiti, the project started a year ago and has made progress for the community. Volunteers are always welcome.
stay tuned for actual first hand updates once i got there in summer 2011!
