My family and I live an almost food-self sufficient life on the top of a hill in inland Croatia. Our permaculture farm is called "Bogata Suma", Croatian for "Rich forest".
I designed and developed our 12 hectares of terrain since 2008. We live with a polyculture and no dig food park (the vegetable garden), a food forest, a polyculture nut orchard that is disguised as a camp site and our newest project: the food savannah.
Not only the land is designed with permaculture ethics and principles; also aspects of our lives are designed. Like: how to learn to speak better Croatian with the help of our community. And a design for me as a permaculture facilitator.
Since 2008 we've been designing and developing our 12 hectares of Croatian land with permaculture principles. So if you want to see permaculture in action: you're welcome at Bogata Suma!
We're finalizing our design for the forest garden and we've got help from Kenza who studies landscape design!
