(projects i'm involved in)
I did my PDC in Brighton, UK in 1999. I have a permaculture diploma and am now a senior diploma tutor for the UK diploma system. I have been teaching permaculture since 2003. I have taught PDC's introduction, teacher training, advanced and peoplecare courses. In 2012 I published 'People and Permaculture' the first book to look directly at the peoplecare ethic and how we can use the creativity of permaculture principles and design in all aspects of our lives and society.
When I first went on a PDC the way we were taught caught my imagination and I knew that I wanted to share this with other people. My journey has taken me to exploring how we can best use the tools of permaculture in personal and social settings, widening the definition of permaculture and making it relevant to more people.
My present activities include developing 'people and permaculture' courses. I am developing a design immersion week for people to develop their design skills for people based designs. I am also running a unique people and permaculture facilitator training for teachers who want to include more of this in the courses. I am keen to strengthen and broaden the important work that permaculture is already doing through it's social and personal applications.
