Darrell Frey is a Permaculture Design Consultant and Teacher. Darrell study of permaculture began in 1980 with reading Permaculture One and Two and attending a three day workshop presented by Bill Mollison. He spent the next 6 years researching, and reading the references to Permaculture One and related topics, practicing homesteading, developing a homestead and planning a permaculture farm. In 1986 he attended a 120 hour permaculture design course taught by Dan Hemenway. The following years, 1987 and 1988, with the consent and encouragement of Bill Mollison, co-taught a Permaculture Design Course at Slippery Rock University. In 1988 Darrell led a team of partners to build the 3000 sq ft bioshelter at Three Sisters Farm in Western Pennsylvania, US. After 25 years of market gardening and permaculture teaching based at Three Sisters Farm. Currently Darrell works in urban permaculture and suburban permaculture and and consultas for a wide range of clients.
