Completed my 72hr PDC in Feb 2009 while travelling in Ethiopia - since then i have been gardening and growing full time at PC projects in various intentional communities. While PC gives the practical design tools and elements that i wish to create in my life i feel that communities give the play ground to launch them from - place to work on the collective imagination, to pool resources and energy where sharing and co-operation can expand the boundaries to give unlimited yield.
Between 2010 and 2011 I completed the Ecovillage Training at Findhorn Community Scotland (1 month) and a 1 week Strawbale Building course (Siben Linden) and 1 week Permaculture Educators and Transition Town training. In April 2011 I travelled to Damunhur, Italy where i took a 1 month course in Ecovillage Design through GAIA education.
On return from Damunhur i commenced a 6 month volunteer placement at Landmatters Permaculture Cooperative in Devon, working the gardens within the community. This has evolved and am now a full member of the co-operative working within the gardens, admin and website team!
