The Permaculture and food forest bug first infected me during my university studies in Landscaping, Forestry and Organic Agriculture (1994-1999). Since then I extensively studied, lived in and worked with permaculture projects and ecovillages in Russia, The Netherlands and Portugal. Plus many journeys to India, USA, Brasil and a number of European countries, from Baltic to Alpine, from Germany and UK to mediterranean.
Activities range from polyculture gardens, food forests, natural water retention landscape design and implementation and co-operation with animals ... to teaching, school and volunteer projects, as well as policymaking, government services, grant programs and NGO's.
In 2009 I initiated Transition Town Vallei in Wageningen region.
Also I am a professional translator and interpreter for books, correspondence and conferences on agroecology, permaculture, community-building, the Anastasia series and food quaility research.
Currently based in The Netherlands again, my focus is on consulting, design and teaching permaculture and food forestry, from home & community gardens to commercial farm systems, to natural ecosystem management.
