(projects i'm following)
I am an agronomist, which here in Italy means having a degree in Science and Technology in Agriculture. I am specialised in managing agricultural systems and I have a very good knowledge in the wine industry.
To cut the long story short (believe me you don't want to listen to all I have got to say) I bumped into permaculture in the late 2010 and since that moment I started to see things differently.
Constantly living in a transition mood I have opened a farm in my home town Bari, in South of Italy, Puglia.
Three hectares of land which belong to my grandfather and which was given to me by my father (reluctant to give up his conventional methods of agriculture).
Today I am sharing this land with my sister Giorgia and my brother Francesco however I am the only one who is actually run and work it with my dad Nicola, Giampaola e Valentina.
Giampaola e Nicola attended the first PDC run at the farm (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4qHdts0PFo6HVLLrW3EDDlDdHIYTymkv) is also working with us.
The farm is a Permaculture city farm. A suburban farm to be more precise. The land is located in Loseto, just 7km away from the centre of the city called Bari however still in the city. In fact, you can reach it by using city transport which will take you from the central station to 10 min walking to my farm in just 35min by bus. A train option will be also available in 2017.
(more details of the farm resumed soon)
From April 2017 we will be able to have WWOOFer so please feel free to contact me if you would like to come and stay with us.
I am currently working on the translation of "Permaculture A Designers'Manual" into ITALIAN.
Wish me luck as I will need it and if you can or want be part of the people who made this book possible into italian please you know what to do...
Look forward to seeing you
