Projects:
Mentoring, consulting or designing for several public food forest/community garden projects in Florida, USA.
Supporting natural building, energy and food projects by Oglala Lakota Cultural and Economic Revitalization Initiative and other projects at Pine Ridge reservation, South Dakota, 2007- present.
Co-founded core organizing team for North American Permaculture Convergence, 2014.
Member of Next Big Step team for International Convergence UK, 2015.
Responded to earthquake disaster in Haiti in 2010 by getting six sanitation/water experts there to save lives. Got two personnel from Ministry of Environment Haiti trained as permaculture designers in the US. Four of the six people stayed active in Haiti for some time, getting compost toilets and permaculture into use for many thousands.
In 2012-13 did a part time project as Coordinator for a Sustainable Urban Agriculture project. This involved doing an asset map and "challenges" report for the city, best practices report and making recommendations for a strategic plan to expand sustainable urban agriculture in the city.
Came to permaculture through human rights advocacy. Permaculture effectively addresses issues that sometimes seem daunting to solve, because it addresses the needs and resources of whole systems and not just one piece of the system.
