I stumbled across Permaculture in 2010 after moving to Sydney from the UK. I subsequently spend an exhaustive amount of time self-educating; listening, watching, asking, reading, collating, attending workshops and getting my hands dirty.....in an attempt to expand my knowledge base and sponge up as much info as possible.
I completed my PDC with Geoff Lawton and Bill Mollison in September 2012. completed a Diploma in Agriculture to get a perspective of what is currently taught, and recently completed a Holistic Management Cert.I am very much at the beginning of this journey and look forward to learning more, spreading the word and applying skills I had managed to accumulate over the years.
My previous life involved working in a corporate environment primarily as a project/change management. I also studied and practice a number of body work therapies with a particular interest in treatments beneficial for stroke rehabilation.
I spent 5 months at the Permaculture Sydney Institute in the beautiful location of St Albans NSW assisting primarily with admin and some outside work and subsequently spent 6 months working on Caroola Farm, 100 acre mixed animal permaculture farm in Southern Tablelands.
I'm keen to learn as much about permaculture
to enable me to develop a potential living demonstration site of self sufficiency.
