This year here at stone turtle, I have decided to embrace the use of the bio dynamic calendar for my planting schedual. Because I am new to it all I find the restraint it puts into my desire to plant interesting, yet wierdly satisfying. It certainly has taken the pull to put things in the ground and made me look at other potential influences that are affecting my over all choices (Lunar/planetary/zodiacal). For example today I would love to seed out my mixed greens but today is a fruit day and influentially it would not be in my favour to plant out a leaf crop but something more like beans. So taking this into consideration I apprecaite the constraint to really plan out what goes where and how things will blend and cooperate.
For those who might be interested in exploring about this calendar I would recommend this website.www.stellanatura.com and the book called gardening for life the biodynamic way by Maria Thun.
Well seeing that it is a reasonable day to to be in the garden I am going to go plant some scarlette runners.
Blessings
Chris
