Somewhat of a late bloomer, I first learned of permaculture at a talk on peak oil and community stability with David Holmgren. My interest grew through reading the Milkwood blog and seeing such videos as Greening The Desert. Eager to learn more, I took a PDC with Jesse Lemieux of Pacific Permaculture while travelling in Canada in August 2011.
Since then I've attended various courses while wwoofing at Milkwood in early 2012, including Teacher Training with Rowe Morrow, Forest Garden Design, Starting an Organic Market Garden and Watershed Restoration with Craig Sponholtz.
My aim now is to learn as much as I can about regenerative agriculture with a view to teaching permaculture and doing design work as my skills develop. Areas I'm particularly interested to learn about are forest gardens, holistic grazing, keyline design and silvopastoral systems.
