It was a joy doing a PDC in October, 2010, with Bill Mollison and Geoff Lawton in Melbourne. A long way from home but I couldn't resist the opportunity to be taught by this 'couple of rough types' http://permaculture.org.au/2010/12/06/a-couple-of-rough-types-talking-to-bill-mollison-and-geoff-lawton/
Current I am living in Vietnam with three of my daughters at the Human Ecology Practice Area (HEPA) owned by SPERI (www.speri.org). Search the PRI web site for more on this.
We will be helping with permaculture workshops as well as providing IT expertise to help SPERI develop better organisational processes.
We will be here for 6-12 months gaining lots of experience, and will hopefully have opportunities to continue with more aid and community work in the future.
I encourage everyone to follow their Permaculture dreams and go join a community somewhere that you never thought you'd find yourself. We need more farmers but we can also share our other expertise in whatever your field of knowledge is, I'm sure it will benefit someone somewhere if you apply it with Permaculture ethics and a big dash of love.
Granny flat offered in exchange for work on property. Grow your own market garden!
We are packing our bags and heading to the HEPA farms in Vietnam for six months!
