About 17 students, all quite versed in Permaculture philosophy and from different walks of life, converged upon Stelle, Illinois at the end of August, 2011.  The tiny community of 110 residents are largely pro-Permaculture and it was a real pleasure to see non-lawns, a community garden, a wonderful orchard and a several-family chicken operation.  Aside from receiving great training we were fed on local organic veggies, real milk and grass-fed beef.  I highly recommend Bill and Wayne as teachers.  Look up Mid-west Permaculture on the internet.
