What can I do for you, my dear followers?

Posted by Max Vittrup Jensen about 13 years ago

...In other words, what's your motivation for following; what would you like to know more about?

Supposing it's something more than my pretty face (Courtesy to mum/dad and significantly Craig Macintosh who took the photo last month; best portrait I've ever had!), which made you subscribe as follower?

I'm honored and aim to please. What would you like to know?

Here's a 25 min. film about the Cohabitat conference I participated in last week in Poland with a presentation about 'Big Bale Building'. So far it's only in Polish (Some English), however subtitles are in the making.

Or there's an article which Craig published a few days ago

Should anyone out there understand Czech language, then here's a 1 hour documentary following my wife, her colleague and the kids at the forest kindergarten for 8 months

Or there's all the daily issue we go and do; yesterday the conversion of half a compost system (snurredassen) into a chicken coop for 10 KZ camp refugee chickens, who now believe they are in paradise...or last weeks broad-sowing of 60-80 cm red spelt wheat among 1 hectare of extensive organic orchard; We get subsidies for orchard, and have won a few cases proving that we can do whatever farming between the trees. In this case it's 'illegal' wheat, as the organic farmer we got them from doesn't have the right registration for the seeds as being for 'commercial sowing. In other words; had we sowed them on our arable land we would have lost subsidies and gotten punished; in the orchard the bureacrats only cares for trees... [Hrmpf]

Why do we bother? Well, it's a lot of money, and centrally we aim to proof that PC can happen within the EU agro-rules, and not beyond. If we ever are to pursuade 'normal' farmers to accept PC, we find it's crucial that they can do so on same terms as other farmers. [Yes; ideally subsidies did not exists, but that's another issue. They do!]

I spent this morning planting a few more trees and sending out our newletter with information of about 15 weekend courses we have planned until x-mas. It's all available on our site, www.permalot.org in Czech language. Please let me know if there's a need to post it in UK language too...

So, that was an appetizer...what do you really want?
