I grew up on a farm on the east coast of the United States and have spent the majority of my life engaged in activities which keep me out of doors. I have traveled a good deal and have studied Environmental Science in the States and Australia.
Aside from the work with plants and animals at the family farm I have also worked in nurseries, as an independent gardener, as a gardener at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, and at farmers markets on both coasts of the US.
At the start of 2013 I moved back to the Southern Hemisphere and completed my PDC at Solscape (Raglan, NZ) and am now studying at Southern Cross University and living in the Byron region, Australia.
In November & December (2014) I will be traveling in South America visiting active permaculture sites. By the start of 2015 I will be in California and spending time at Esalen, in Big Sur. I plan on taking a few months to reconnect with the California coast and current projects taking place between Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz.
Should anyone read this who is looking for an intern or WWOOFer in the regions mentioned, please feel free to get in touch! Many Thanks!!
