Hello my friend,
I’m writing to notify you that Integro is now based in Cairns, Far North Queensland, as I am currently undertaking a Bachelor degree in Sustainability (science major) at James Cook University.

This is a gateway opportunity for me to skill-up (academically) and consolidate the broad foundational knowledge I have gained prior to university study. JCU has launched this sustainability degree in Cairns in 2012 (link for more information) so I will graduate in the first cohort of this degree and can help to refine the course content and experience through submitting feedback the university is enthusiastically asking for. This is an exciting time in my life and I still intend to operate Integro, although my time/energy budget will be dominated by university so I will not be completely available to do consultations and workshops, etc on a full-time basis.

However I will be running events and co-ordinating activities within a JCU-based community group in Cairns that will be becoming very active over the coming months and years. It is the JCU Permaculture Society – affiliated with the JCU Student Association – and offers free, open membership access to staff and students at JCU as well as members of the broader community. Once up and running and demonstrating innovative and rewarding initiatives, JCUPS will be able to expand by emerging on other JCU campuses around QLD and possibly even in Singapore. The Society aims to be inclusive and inspirational right from the beginning (which is now) and hopes to be a conduit of collaboration towards sustainability and beyond!
Stay tuned
With kind regards,
Leon
