With a PDC from Geoff Lawton and some advice and inspiration from La Ferme du Bec Hellouin, I decided I needed some more in depth experience and guidance in how best to set up my own farm so I signed up for a half-year course in organic market-gardening as well. Associated with La Ferme du Bec Hellouin, La Ferme de Sainte Marthe is home to a one hectare organic market garden and offers instruction in market gardening, seed saving, alternative business models, education and distribution so that after one season there I felt ready to take the final step.
