About Tom Baldwin

I came to permaculture because I was passionately applying myself to gardening and ecological landscaping and PC introduced me to a wide conceptual framework and people. I have a fine arts background and practice as an artist.

I have developed several sites, and assisted on several others since taking my first course. I have hosted and co-taught several courses, organized and hosted a statewide convergence, and travelled to gain first hand experience and interaction with traditional integrated systems.

I also run two farm sites with some of the most extensive collections of fruit trees, medicinal plants, and cacti in the state.

The farm specializes in integrated animal and plantv systems with ducks, chickens, sheep, goats, and aquaculture ponds.

I continue developing these sites as well as working with a design business Pacific Basin Permaculture with my longtime friend Keith D'agostino who I met at the Bullocks permaculture homestead. With our extensive backgrounds, mine in integrated systems, horticulture and botanics, and a fine art background, and his a masters in landscape architecture augmenting his studies and practice in permaculture.

Farm Gone Wildflower

Farm develops in its own rhythm along paths that are influenced by natural cycles, and influenced by weather, while following design ideas and peoples effort.

Selling my dry side farm in Hawaii

The farm has had ongoing and extensive work for ten years with a lot of infrastructure and extensive collections of fruit and medicinals. I'm wishing to keep it in the permaculture community and keep it as a teaching site.
