The Permaculture course at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur is a full immersion into community living and integrating the permaculture concepts an themes into practice. The 120 acre site is nested next to the stunning coast of Big Sur, in central California and hosts over 500 workshops a year, with around 300 per day day on-site.
The Permaculture work-scholar and legacy program is now entering it's 5th year and has trained just over 100 people in the 4 previous sessions. The Esalen farm and garden along with the other departments give participants amazing opportunities to practice what they are learning as well as the amazing intergral movement arts program provide a full variety of options for students to see how permaculture can be applied to all aspects of our culture.
