TROPICAL OPEN-SKY SHOWER

Posted by David Rivera Ospina almost 14 years ago

Present the construction of a model open-sky shower, economical and easy to do with rough stones and adobe bricks. An organic membrane made of ferrocement protects the walls from the tropical weather.

Ferrocement

I built an open-sky shower. there's nothing quite like bathing under a canopy of sky!. Base built of rustic stone, the natural rock is abundant in the construction site. Walls and the entrance arch are of adobe bricks, the wall is protected with a cover and undulating organic form made with the technique of ferrocementPlanted around a curtain of ornamental plants (platanillos, anthuriums, bromeliads and vines. The used water (gray water) will be taken to a small wetland that will act as biofilter. Still need to finish painting and decorations on the walls and door design (I'll be gratefulfor good advice).
